Methanol, also known as methyl
alcohol or wood alcohol, is the simplest alcohol. It is a light,
volatile, colorless, flammable, poisonous liquid with a very faint
odor. It is used as an air brake antifreeze, windshield wash, solvent,
fuel, water dispersant and as a denaturant for ethyl alcohol as
well as other applications. Like any alcohol, methanol burns
with an almost invisible flame, so extreme caution is advised.
Our methanol is primarily sold to people who use it in specially
carbureted engines for car racing. It’s the main ingredient
in our premium prelubricated racing alcohol ALKY.
