BTU’s or British Thermal Units are the heat units within each type of energy source.

When comparing different types of fuels, you need to look at both the BTU’s and your heating system’s efficiency in using the fuel. Fuel Oil heating systems use a greater combustion temperature which provides quicker heating. It puts more heat in your home than up the chimney!
